State Street will be closed from 7th street going west of town. starting tuesday May 26-2026.

WATER SHUT DOWNS FOR MONDAY 5-4-26
Kapplinger, Main street to North street and North street from main to 5th street.

they are planning on having the water turned on by the end of the day 4 to 6 pm.

For those residents that are temporary water.
The construction crews are asking that you run your water over the weekend.Due to the cold temperatures we will be having. It will freeze the temporary line coming into your home.

3-16-2026 there will be no garbage pick up today. They will be in town on tuesday 3-17-2026.

with the anticipated snow that will coming over the weekend the city is asking that all cars be off the streets by Midnight on Saturday 3-14-2026.

12-29-2025 B & B has cancelled al garbage pick up today. they will pick up on Tuesday 12-30-2025

12-27-2025 with the upcoming storms the City of Kiester will be declaring a snow emergency from Sunday 12-28-2025 at 6 pm until the roads are cleared curb to curb.
Please have your vehicles off the streets. We will be towing the vehicles if needed.
The city appreciates your help with sharing this information as well as following it.

The Kiester Recycling center will be closed wednesday 12-24 2025.
Everyone have a happy and safe Christmas
They will be open on Saturday 12-27-2025 regular hours

please note that wrapping paper is not an item that can be recycled.

with another round of upcoming storm system that is to be moving across the area. The City of Kiester Is declaring a snow emergency.

We ask that all cars be off the street by midnight on Saturday 12-6-2025. and that they stay off the streets until the roads are plowed curb to curb.

Any car that is in the street when we go go plow will be tagged and towed at the owner's expense.

The city thanks you for your help so me may get the snow remove done for all of us to move around safely
