Last evening our crews assisted Paint Township Mt. Eaton Fire Department , with a commercial structure fire. Engine 74, Engine 71, and Tanker 72 responded.
During the incident Squad 73 also assisted with a medical call near Mt Eaton.
We rely on our neighboring departments for mutual aid and are always happy to assist them when needed!

This week is EMS Week, and tonight our department had the opportunity to gather for EMS training at the fire station.

A special thank you to Aultman Orrville for providing the meal for our crew this evening. We appreciate your support of our local first responders and your partnership in helping us continue to train, learn, and serve our community well.

🚒 Join us for the Kidron Fire Department Haystack Meal and Benefit Auction ! 🚒

Come out on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Kidron Park for an evening of good food, fellowship, and community support for our volunteer firefighters.

🍽️ Carry-Out & Dine-In: 4:00 PM
🔨 Auction Starts: 6:00 PM

We have a great lineup of donated auction items, including a brand-new Toro walk-behind mower, several sets of poly patio furniture, a Blackstone griddle, hanging baskets, and other flowers — just in time for Mother’s Day on Sunday! 🌸😉

We’ll be serving haystack, homemade pie and ice cream by donation only. 🥧🍦

We are also still accepting auction item donations. Your support helps make this event a success and directly benefits the Kidron Volunteer Fire Department.

Today is International Firefighters’ Day, and we are especially grateful for the men and women who serve on our all-volunteer department. Their willingness to give their time, energy, and heart to protect and serve our community does not go unnoticed.

A special thank-you to Kaufman Realty & Auctions, Kidron for providing dinner at our meeting this evening. We appreciate the generous support — and the BBQ meal was excellent!

We are blessed to serve a community where local businesses and volunteers continue to support one another.

We had a great opportunity for some hands-on training last evening at a home in our area that is set to be demolished. The homeowner graciously allowed us to use the property to run training scenarios with our smoke machines and work through some valuable real-world situations.

We’re thankful for the chance to practice in an environment like this. Training opportunities like these are invaluable as we continue preparing to protect you, your family, and your property when the real emergency happens.

A big thank you to the homeowner for their generosity and support of our department.
