The City of Keytesville has issued a 48 hour boil advisory from noon on Monday October 16 and ending noon on Wednesday, October 18 for the residents and business south of Hwy 24 between Ash Street and South John F Kennedy Avenue and from Tom Street south to Nutriean Ag Service.

This coming Monday, October 16, persons on the south side of Highway 24 may lose water service for a couple hours in order to put in a new fire hydrant.

Request for Proposal
City of Keytesville

The City of Keytesville is seeking sealed bids from companies capable of delivering one or both of the following services for the purpose of construction of an ADA compliant pedestrian asphalt trail in Maxwell Taylor Park:
• Delivering and laying sub base rock, dimensions to be 6 inches deep for the entire length (2,600 ft) and width (6 foot wide); approximately 1,733 square yards (path will be laid out and prepared by City of Keytesville).
• Delivering and laying asphalt 3 inches deep for the entire length and width of the trail (1,733 square yards).
Please provide an expected time table for your firm’s earliest delivery of services. Services must be able to be delivered before June 30, 2024.
The City of Keytesville hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, s*x, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration for an award. Federal Land and Water Conservation Funds are being used in this project, and all relevant federal, state, and local requirements apply.
Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept other than the lowest bid and to waive any irregularities or informalities in bids received.
All bids for consideration must be turned into the City of Keytesville no later than 4:00 p.m., October 31th, 2023. Bid opening will be held November 1st at 10:00 a.m.

PART-TIME OPERATOR POSITION AVAILABLE
The City of Keytesville is accepting applications for a part-time operator until the position is filled. Job entails but is not limited to all aspects of City water operations, sewer operations, streets, and other maintenance as assigned by the Mayor and Board of Alderman. Must obtain any required licensing as needed, have a valid drivers license and be able to handle 50 pound bags.

City has a water main break. Estimated time frame of 2 hours to fix and get back in service. A 48 hour boil advisory will be in effect from time the water comes back on until Saturday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m.
