The intent of this high visibility campaign is to confront the staggering rise in traffic deaths NJ has seen. Traffic Safety culture and driving behaviors need to change in order to keep people alive on NJ roadways. Law Enforcement agencies in Monmouth County are dedicated to lowering these numbers and keeping our roadways safe.

As of today, NJ is up to 290 deaths in 2024. Thatโ€™s a 26.1% increase over the same time frame last year. 25 of these deaths have occurred in Monmouth County. This increase shows the need for not only this detail, but future details as well.

As a result of the four hours of enforcement on 5/30, 78 Officers from 35 agencies conducted 581 stops and issued 361 summonses which included, 32 speeding, 2 child restraints, 23 seatbelt, 10 Driving While Suspended, 24 cell phone, 2 reckless, 16 careless, 1 uninsured motorist, 251 other miscellaneous moving and non-moving violations. 5 warrant arrests were made during this time frame as well.

**WHAT THE GOAL:ZERO LOGO MEANS**
The color of the logo represents high visibility and is the color for pedestrian and school safety. The black bar is a mourning band for all lives lost in traffic crashes.
