Keys Health and Housing connects people to care, housing, and support across the Florida Keys—helping people build healthier, more stable lives. On any given day there are hundreds of individuals and families in Monroe County who are homeless, living and sleeping in the streets, the mangroves, vehicles, derelict vessels, or other inappropriate and dangerous places unfit for human habitation. Most of them lack not only housing but adequate nutrition, healthcare, personal hygiene,
even basic life skills. The Florida Keys Outreach Coalition offers hope and solutions. Incorporated with non-profit status in 1992, FKOC provides Transitional Housing, Emergency Shelter, and a array of Supportive Services in Monroe County, Florida. We offer a solution-oriented, holistic, multi-phase program based on self-sufficiency, stability, and opportunity. Your knowledge, understanding and support are essential to our success. Keys Health + Housing is looking for a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Key West.

This position is a mix of patient care and office support.
We’re looking for someone who is:

✅ Trained or experienced as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant

✅ Organized, dependable & professional

✅ Comfortable working with patients and as part of a team

✅ Committed to patient privacy and confidentiality

Phlebotomy and EMR experience are a plus, but not required.

Starting pay: $25/hour or more, based on experience and certifications

A front door represents more than a place to live. It shows stability, safety, and the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys for supporting our Peacock Program, which provides permanent supportive housing with on-site case management for 35 adults living with mental illness, senior citizens and those with complex medical needs.

Peacock Program gives some of our most vulnerable neighbors a place to call home.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys for supporting our Food Matters program!

Their generous grant support helps us provide nutritious food through our Loaves and Fish food pantry, grocery assistance for residents with significant medical needs, as well as nutrition education and support.

Each month, our food pantry serves more than 260 households, helping our neighbors access healthy food while easing some of the financial strain many families are facing. We are also so proud that so far, over 25 of our clients and residents have completed the Shop Smart, Save Big classes in partnership with SOS Foundation!

We are grateful to CFFK and all of our partners who invest in the health and well-being of our community.
