We recently helped one of our Vietnam Veteran brothers in need, with an electric trike to help him get around Key West since he is not very mobile. In addition, we have helped him get on the right track to get VA disability help after his 20 years of service. We found his need from the Key West Locals page and want everyone to know we are still here and that our mission has not changed. We are here for Veterans both active, have ETS status and retired. We are extremely proud that we helped our brother in need!

The VFW is humbly thankful for businesses like Fausto’s, Rick’s and Publix that have supported us for so many years in fundraising for the veterans of Monroe county and during our buddy poppy drives. In addition, we are grateful the numerous others that have donated to us for our fishing tournaments. We love our Key West community, and are proud to support those that have served and are still serving our mighty military forces.

I would like to say thank you to our fellow Comrades who volunteered this morning replacing old tattered flags with new ones on Veterans graves laid to rest at the Key West cemetery:

Dan Dedayo
Wisconsin Rob
Dean Meinnert

Our team supported the NAS Key West CPOA who organized the event and purchased the flags.

Thank you for volunteering your time to ensure the great Veterans before us are given the respect they deserve forever.
