REPORT STREETLIGHT OUTAGES BEFORE HALLOWEEN
With trick-or-treating right around the corner, Keys Energy Services (KEYS) wants to make sure families can see clearly, and drivers can see trick-or-treaters, to make Halloween festivities safe for children of all ages. KEYS’ customers are urged to contact KEYS to report any burned out, malfunctioning, or 24-hour burning streetlights so they can be repaired prior to October 31. Customers can submit their request online at KeysEnergy.com/customer-service-requests or by calling (305) 295-1010.
When contacting KEYS, customers are asked to have the following information to help expedite repairs:
- The street address of the home or business closest to the streetlight in question.
- The streetlight pole number – a bright yellow number affixed at eye level on the street side of the pole.
- Determine whether the light is burned out (not lit during dusk and/or evening hours), malfunctioning (flickering), or 24-hour burning (lit 24-hours a day).
“KEYS maintains streetlights at the request of the City of Key West and Monroe County,” said KEYS’ General Manager & CEO Lynne Tejeda. She added that, “we make every effort to identify and repair malfunctioning or burned-out streetlights in a timely manner to assure public safety for all, especially during a busy holiday that children love.”
