Fall migration is a great reason to explore Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park. Bring your binoculars, wander the shaded trails, and watch for movement in the branches.

Amy Flannery began volunteering for the Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park Native Nursery February 2023. She volunteers several times a week, collecting seeds, planting, weeding, watering of native plants, and participates in special events. Amy joins in with the annual butterfly counts on park lands and has also done tasks assisting the Friends of John Pennekamp and Dagny Johnson State Parks. She is friendly, dedicated, and willing volunteer. In June 2026, Amy was awarded with a 1000-hour panther pin and certificate.
