🦖 RAWR! Summer Storytime is back!
Due to wet ground and rainy forecast, we'll be INDOORS this morning for some dinosaur-themed fun! Join us in our brand-new children's area on the main level for dinosaur stories, songs, and activities.

🦕Afterward, families are invited downstairs to the Community Room for a silly dinosaur craft.

We can't wait to see all our little paleontologists and dinosaur enthusiasts for a dino-mite morning of stories and fun!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first week of our Summer Reading Program! We had a fantastic kickoff and loved seeing so many community members begin their journey to Unearth a Story with us.

🎉 We have a winner! 🎉

Everyone, please congratulate Logan W., Guesstimating Extraordinaire and proud new owner of a bucket of jellybeans!

With Bill Shakespeare serving as our official witness, we can reveal that there was a total of 1,437 jellybeans inside the jar.

Logan's estimate of 1,428 was only 9 jellybeans away - an incredibly impressive guess!

We received guesses ranging from 67 (Really?! We’re still saying this?! *noted*) to 3,141,592 which certainly made tallying the results interesting 😄

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Reading Kickoff featuring ice cream, scavenger hunting, sidewalk chalk, and jellybean guessing! If you haven't signed up for our Summer Reading Challenge yet, stop by the library any time through July 31 to register, earn prizes, and participate in our special summer events. (Yes, you too, adults—you deserve prizes, too!) Reading logs are due August 1. We can’t wait to see you at the library this summer!

Trixie Tries: Summer Reading!

Trixie the Triceratops has been busy getting ready for a summer of reading adventures!

Today, she tried signing up for our Summer Reading Program and even took her best guess at how many jellybeans are in our guessing jar.

Think you can beat Trixie's guess? Stop by the library today and make your own estimate! The closest guess without going over will win the entire jar of jellybeans!

And while you're here, don't forget to join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration from 1:00–2:00 PM! We’ll have:

Just a reminder...
The Library will be closed Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th in honor of Memorial Day.
The library will be closed for check outs on Saturday, but there is a really good chance we will be participating in the unofficial city-wide rummage sale.
