FOUND PUPPIES

This morning, a litter of five puppies was located in the area of Prospect Street and Fond du Lac Avenue.

The puppies were safely taken to the Washington County Humane Society, where they are being properly cared for.

We want to get these puppies back to their owner! The owner will need to provide an accurate description of the puppies to help confirm ownership.

Week O’ Patty — Day 5

Well, today is the day we officially say GOODBYE to Patty!

After 27 years of dedicated service to the Kewaskum Police Department, our Administrative Assistant, Patty Blackstone, is officially retiring. While we’re excited for Patty and this next chapter, it’s certainly going to be hard to imagine the department without her.

For 27 years, Patty has been a familiar face, a helping hand, a source of laughter, and an important part of our KPD family. She has seen a lot of changes over the years, worked with a lot of officers, and has undoubtedly left her mark on this department.

Patty, thank you for everything you have done for the Kewaskum Police Department, our officers, and our community. We appreciate your years of hard work, dedication, and friendship.

Congratulations on your retirement!

We will miss you!

-KPD

Week O' Patty

Patty has had a few different workstations over the years! She spent the most time at our old police department, then a year at our temporary location, and finally just over a year at our new department.

Three different locations, one constant: Patty was always there keeping things running!

Week O' Patty

Today, we take a moment to remember and salute all the times Patty participated in our social media videos over the years!

Patty was always willing to jump in front of the camera—whether it was reading for us, showing off her impressive puzzle-solving skills, pretending to get a donut for Christmas 🍩, or yes… even dancing with a skeleton named Bones for a Halloween video! 💀

Thanks for all the memories, Patty! You definitely make KPD a fun place to work!

WEEK OF PATTY!

This Friday, August 28th, 2026, our Administrative Assistant, Patty Blackstone, will be retiring after an incredible 27 years with the Kewaskum Police Department!

To celebrate Patty and all the years she has dedicated to KPD, I am declaring this week the WEEK OF PATTY!

Each day this week, I'll be sharing a photo and a little something about Patty (she is NOT going to be happy with me for doing this) 😊

Patty has been an important part of the Kewaskum Police Department and our community for 27 years, and we want to make sure she knows just how much she is appreciated.

Please stop in this week and wish Patty the very best in her retirement!

Congratulations, Patty! Thank you for 27 years of service, dedication, and everything you’ve done for us. We wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kewaskum Police Arrest Suspect Following Threatening Harassment Investigation

KEWASKUM, WI – August 21, 2026 – On August 20, 2026, the Kewaskum Police Department investigated a report of ongoing harassment and threats involving a Kewaskum resident.

The victim had reported receiving repeated messages from an individual she did not know through multiple social media platforms. The communications had become increasingly threatening, and the individual had obtained the victim’s telephone number and home address.

On August 20, 2026, the victim contacted the Kewaskum Police Department and reported that the individual appeared to be traveling from Michigan toward Kewaskum. The individual was continuing to send concerning messages to the victim as well as sharing his location through a mapping application, which appeared to indicate he was traveling toward Kewaskum.

KPD was able to identify the individual and his vehicle information. Using that information, officers were able to utilize a license plate reading camera to verify that his vehicle was traveling from Michigan into Wisconsin and towards the Village of Kewaskum.

At approximately 5:12 p.m., officers located the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 28. The vehicle continued into the Village of Kewaskum where officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop. Officers took the driver into custody without further incident. The driver was identified as a 28-year-old male from Michigan.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on one count of Stalking and one count of Disorderly Conduct.

The Kewaskum Police Department was assisted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Milwaukee Police Department’s Intelligence Fusion Center.
