🚨 ATTENTION KEWASKUM AREA RESIDENTS 🚨

The Kewaskum Fire Department is considering offering a certified CPR training course to residents who live within our response area. There would be a nominal fee to help cover the cost of the course.

🚒🏠 A Friendly Reminder from the Kewaskum Fire Department

When you call 911, seconds matter. Our firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement officers respond as quickly as possible, but we can’t help if we can’t find you.

We recently held a training with our members where the task was to locate specific addresses throughout the Village and perform a scene size-up. During that training, we noticed that quite a few homes do not have house numbers that are clearly visible from the street.

Clear, visible house numbers make a BIG difference when we’re trying to locate your home in an emergency.

Please take a moment to check that your address numbers are:
✅ Clearly visible from the street
✅ Not blocked by decorations, bushes, or snow
✅ A contrasting color from your house

In an emergency, being easy to find helps us get to you faster when it matters most.

Plus, your Amazon driver would much rather deliver packages to the correct home — and not your neighbor’s. 😉

Effective March 2, 2026, Fire Chief Mark Groeschel has officially retired from the Village of Kewaskum. Formalized with a proclamation from the Village highlighting his many years of service. While stepping down as Chief, Mark will continue to serve the community as a volunteer firefighter with the Kewaskum Fire Department.

Mark has set an incredible example of what it truly means to be a public servant, dedicating most of his professional and personal life to the department and the community. He first joined in November of 1979 as a volunteer and went on to serve as Chief from 1993 to 2026 - an extraordinary 33 years of leadership. This doesn’t happen by accident, this happens when an organization is blessed with an authentic, humble, strong, and loyal leader.

The culture and legacy built by Chief Mark Groeschel will continue to live on through the current and future members of the Kewaskum Fire Department, shaping the department for generations to come.

Congratulations, Mark. Your commitment, dedication, and steady leadership have left a lasting impact, and your service to this department and community is truly unmatched.
