Beans, beans and more beans! That’s what it seems like lately. We don’t have any control over what commodity food items are sent to us but we gladly distribute them.
But we do realize some clients aren’t sure how to prepare them into nutritious meals or side dishes.
So we added a RECIPES page to our website as a place to find ideas for all the types of beans we’ve been giving out recently. Did you know garbanzo beans are also known as chickpeas and they make a wonderful hummus?

There’s no denying we are providing a much needed service, and we are happily here to lend a hand. Our July numbers show we distributed to 520 households which assisted over 1,700 people. We also signed up over 40 new households last month.

We ordered canned vegetables and soups for this month but unfortunately those items were not on the delivery truck. ☹️ our shelves are nearly bare of these items, so if anyone is able to help us out with donations, we would be so very grateful.
Items can be left in our donation bin by the back garage door or brought in during our open hours. THANK YOU for helping us help our community ❤️
