Migration continues into the colder months for some bird species. Local birders are reporting Tundra Swans flying in flocks overhead and stopping on open water on their migration route from the arctic to more permanent wintering grounds. These birds look similar to Trumpeter swans but are slightly smaller and have a smudge of yellow on their black bills. On your next adventure, keep your eyes open for these beautiful traveling birds.
