This evening, around 1730 hours, Co 838 and surrounding stations were alerted for a house fire in the 1300 block of Dunbar Oaks Drive- Box Area 38-06.
Engine 838 arrived on scene to find fire showing from the front of the home. Engine 838, working with Paramedic Engine 805, Truck 802 and Truck 833, quickly brought the fire under control.
All occupants were safely out of the home prior to the arrival of the fire department and two dogs were removed by search companies during the fire.
Units operated for approximately three hours before returning to service.

*Arrival image* Update on this morning’s fire on Gunther St in Capitol Heights. The number is displaced is now five adults and two children. No injuries. Office of Emergency Management assisting those displaced.

Truck 38 members from D-shift operating as the search company today searching the building for residents and for an injured firefighter. The residents were able to self evacuate and so was the injured firefighter.

Fire is out. Fire investigators on scene.

At approximately 4:00 am on Sunday March 28, units responded to the 8100 block of Finch Court in Landover for a structure fire. On scene, crews found a two-story single-family home with fire showing from the attached garage. Residents self-evacuated. May Day was sounded when the roof collapsed. One firefighter injured. Firefighter was transported with burn injuries to area trauma center. Fire is now under control. Fire Investigators en route. Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management assisting two adults displaced by the fire.
