💥 🚨 2026 MIHS/MIMS MOCK DUI CRASH🚨💥

This afternoon, Menominee Tribal Ambulance participated in the educational mock DUI crash to raise awareness to the impact that destructive decision making can have on the lives of our youth.

Huge thank you to all those who came together to make this happen! We are thankful for the assistance we receive from Menominee Tribal Police Department! 🚔🚨💙

Officers play an important role in improving patient outcomes by promptly identifying and intervening in medical emergencies. Just as importantly, Officers secure the scene, retrieve equipment, and assist with lifting and moving patients. This allows our crews to focus solely on providing medical care! 💉🚑

We always welcome the assistance, and wanted to provide METP with stocked jump kits to ensure they are fully equipped to serve our community. 🩹❤️‍🩹

Officers undergo basic life support/first aid trainings, CPR/AED training, and tactical combat casualty care style trainings as apart of their initial certification, as well as routine training and refreshers involving these topics. Officers are familiarized with our equipment, ambulances, and operations.📚✅🔍

Introducing our new ambulance, a Demers Ambulances MX164 type 3 ambulance, purchased through Pomasl Fire Equipment, Inc.. This ambulance replaces our nearly 13 year old Med 1.

As for the new look: we wanted something that would enhance our presence in the community. We elected to prominently feature the eagle over the star of life, a recognizable fixture of our service since the early 2000’s. Omaeqnomenewak “the people of the wild rice” remains displayed across the front. The addition of reflective lettering and striping on the sides and back with a dark background improves roadside visibility at night and in inclement weather. These graphics will replace the green graphics on Meds 2 and 3 when time comes around to upgrade. Thank you FlipSide Graphics!

Menominee Tribal Ambulance Service held an AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course for Powwow security staff. Staff were certified in CPR/AED, and educated on a variety of topics, including:

🐝 Bee Stings and use of an epi pen
🤕Bleeding Control and Bandaging
☀️Heat related illness
❤️Identifying the signs of a cardiac emergency
🧠Identifying the signs of a stroke
🔥Burns
🦴Splinting

We recognized the Annual Contest Powwow brings a great number of visitors to the area; it is important for us to ensure organizers, participants, and attendees remain safe during this event. Having trained individuals at the powwow grounds helps us achieve this goal. An ambulance crew will still be stationed at the grounds during the Powwow.

Thank you Assistant Service Director Meghan, a certified AHA instructor, for instructing this class!
