Yesterday, March 14, members of the Eastern Colorado Incident Management Team participated in our annual exercise. Built around a large wildfire scenario, the exercise challenged our team to manage a complex incident, strengthen interagency coordination, and reinforce the operational readiness required to serve communities during emergencies.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) for developing and coordinating this important training opportunity. We also thank the Southwest Incident Management Team for supporting the exercise through the evaluation process and helping us maintain a high standard of professionalism and preparedness.
We are also grateful to Nordy’s BBQ for providing lunch during the exercise. Community support plays an important role in making training opportunities like this possible.
The next step is to review the After-Action Report and implement its recommendations as we continue working to strengthen our team, improve our response capabilities, and provide effective incident management support to the communities and agencies we serve.
