Note: The City of Kerrville has currently turned off all comments for all Facebook posts for several reasons. The City established its social media accounts as a way to publicize and spread public information. The City intends to continue to use it for this purpose. However, based upon the consistent use of that information, through comments and other responses, the City believes its information is being intentionally misconstrued, manipulated, or used in ways that confuse the information provided. In addition, a significant amount of activity on the City’s sites include comments and other responses that seem to be intentionally divisive, take away from the purpose of the public information, are entirely irrelevant, and frankly, have no public purpose. Thus, to ensure clarity of its communications, the City has chosen to discontinue the ability to respond to its posts. The City may revisit this issue in the future.
