Everything KPUB does goes toward serving our customers and our communityโs best interest. We are dedicated to powering the homes and businesses here with the best service possible, because, at the end of the day, KPUBโs leadership and team lives, works and raises our families here in this community, too. As a community-owned, not-for-profit electric company, our utility is operated with local cont
rol. KPUB is overseen by a five-member board of trustees who are appointed by the Kerrville City Council and serve without compensation. The trustees are responsible to the City of Kerrville in the management and control of the system and are empowered with all of the authority of the city as it relates to the distribution of electricity to the consumers. December 10, 2021, will mark 34 years of KPUB being a community-owned utility. Today, we serve approximately 23,000 customers throughout a 146 square mile service area which includes Kerrville, Center Point, Ingram, Hunt, and surrounding areas in Kerr County.
