Kerr County Residents,
Here is the latest information provided to us from the commissioners in regards to the Burn Ban.
Precincts 1 and 4 are currently in a butn ban and precincts 2 and 3 are still lifted.
Remember, before burning call the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office at 830-896-1216 to report your burn.

*** 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 ***
(Monday, Feb. 9, 2026)

As of today, Monday, Feb. 9, the burn ban is now 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 countywide.

The ban is in place for Kerr County Precincts 1, 2, 3 and 4 until further notice.

The ban on open-flame, open-air burning also 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 for all areas considered AFFECTED by the the July 4 flooding incident. Areas identified as "affected" by the flooding are those properties located specifically between the high water marks on both banks of the Guadalupe River, including the river, the riverbed, etc.
Burning is prohibited until individual zones are released by local officials.

The Kerr County Burn Ban has officially been lifted.

While outdoor burning is now permitted, we ask everyone to burn responsibly and remain aware of current weather conditions. Please ensure all fires are attended at all times and fully extinguished.
