We never thought we would be back in Kerr County so soon.
Just over a year after the devastating floods that forever changed this community, we find ourselves returning to help once again. We are honored to lend a hand to a member of the community who needs it.
Our hearts are with every family affected by these floods. We especially pray for those who survived last year's tragedy and are now facing the fear, heartbreak, flashbacks, and PTSD that another flood can bring. We pray for those carrying survivor's guilt, for those who have lost loved ones, and for everyone whose lives have once again been turned upside down.
We also pray for every volunteer, nonprofit, church, and responder working tirelessly on the ground. Thank you for your compassion, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others.
To our brothers and sisters in the fire service, EMS, law enforcement, emergency management, public works, and every other first responder—please stay safe and continue looking out for one another.
If you or someone you know has been affected by these floods, please be cautious when accepting assistance. Unfortunately, disasters can bring out people looking to take advantage of those in vulnerable situations.
Before signing any agreements:• Vet the individual or organization offering help.• Read every document carefully, including the fine print.• Be cautious of high-pressure sales tactics or financing agreements.• Take photos of your property before, during, and after cleanup or repairs for insurance and documentation purposes.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Kerr County and every community impacted by these floods. We will continue to serve where we can, one neighbor at a time.
