Traffic & Safety Reminders - Faith & Fellowship and Kerrville’s Fourth on the River
TRAFFIC SAFETY
Expect road closures and traffic changes from July 3 through July 4 and after the fireworks display. Both northbound lanes of the Sidney Baker St. bridge will be closed for emergency access. Additional closures include Thompson Dr. (from Cully Dr. To Sidney Baker St.) and Water St. near City Hall from 6–10 p.m. on both event days. City of Kerrville - Police Department traffic officers and signage will guide post-event traffic. Do not ignore traffic control devices or personnel. See the detour maps for information on traffic flow immediately following the events.
DETOR ROUTES
• Vehicles exiting from the River Hills Mall parking lot must turn right (south) onto Sidney Baker St.
• Vehicles exiting from the Office Max / H-E-B parking lot, including City South St., must turn right (north) onto Sidney Baker St.
• Hill Country Dr. and Lehman Dr. traffic must turn right (south) onto Sidney Baker St.
• La Casa St. and Valero traffic must turn right (north) onto Sidney Baker St.
• Eastbound traffic on Thompson Dr. must turn right onto Cully Dr.
• Northbound traffic on Cully Dr. must turn left onto Thompson Dr.
• Westbound traffic on Park Ln. must turn left onto Kerr Country Ave.
• Eastbound traffic on Water St. must turn left onto Clay St.
• Westbound traffic on Water St. must turn right onto Earl Garrett St.
PARK ACCESS AND PARKING
Louise Hays Park will be closed to vehicle traffic on July 3 and July 4. Free public parking is available at the Clay Street parking garage. Pedestrian access points include:
• Main entrance on Thompson Dr.
• Lehmann-Monroe Park entrance (Park Ln.)
• Sidewalk connection near Park Lane Apartments
FIREWORKS SAFETY CLOSURES
Tranquility Island and the portion of the River Trail from Francisco Lemos St. through the island (including the library ramp) will close at 8 p.m. on July 4. Residents and visitors walking to the park from the parking garage after 8 p.m. should utilize the sidewalk on the Sidney Baker St. bridge. This area will reopen at the conclusion of the fireworks display and drone show, and has been cleared by the Kerrville Fire Department.
