This is basically a record post. May 2024 we had to have the box at the curb replaced so we could have the water turned on. I imagine the rod to turn our water on had rusted out. We had the water company over here twice, and it was determined it needed replaced. Baby steps, but making progress.

It’s kinda cool, even though it’s disconnected now bc of too many false alarms. This was the alarm system that alerts the police department straight through, when these windows were disturbed. There are sensors in a square shape on almost all of the downstairs windows with connections in the corners. I wish the system was connected when all the windows were constantly getting broken out.

This square structure on the roof is the elevator hatch. If u look close, u can see the tar was coming away from the wood and all the wood was rotten. It was leaking inside, so this is something that needed taken care of right away. My husband went up there and redid it last summer.

ALLLL OF THIS is getting taken out! The whole tree line and all the growth of whatever. There is actually a whole line of parking underneath all of that. I circled one of the concrete parking slabs, but they go all the way down this tree line (underneath everything else).

These two nice sized rooms are on the third floor. There is also a hallway with 5 rooms (just like the first two floors), a bathroom (no shower or tub), a small kitchen area, and another room. We have not decided what to do with the third floor yet, but we have a few ideas
1. Independent Living Program - housing teens that qualify and teaching them skills they need to be out on their own.

2. Emergency relief - housing families that have had house fires or their homes have been flooded out.

3. An organization I thought about putting together for kids that have been pushed away from things, are being targeted or bullied, home life is bad, etc. This would be a safe haven place to go and relax, and I would educate the parents in areas that i have knowledge in.

4. A place for a local organization to have their warming center at.

Whatever is done with it is a ways in the future bc of the amount of money we need to come up with to get heat in our building. We are continuously working on this and we will find a way to eventually make it happen.

Plans have changed with the area that was supposed to be for our family business, Abbey Life. The area I previously posted, where there were 5 rooms along a hallway and my husband knocked all of the walls out, is now a workout/boxing area. On our journey, I heard Tony talk about his boxing a lot and realized he still had a dream to train people. I gave this area to him to do this. This is what it currently looks like. The boxing half still needs work, but the workout room is finished.
