Children are welcome to wear costumes for Baby & Me Storytime and regular Storytime this week!

We had 45 participants for Storytime yesterday! 😳 This is why we offer the same program twice per week! Is there anyone who didn't come yesterday, who would like to join us today? Hope to see you at 10:30 AM!

We had a scent-sational time at the Kenyon Public Library when Eagle Bluff stopped by with two adorable skunks! Their names were Cricket and Cabbage! They taught us a lot about these often misunderstood animals!

Who knew that learning could be so stinkin' cute?

PSA: Please don't do this. Not one of these books are library books. I am assuming someone wanted to donate these items to the library but did not communicate with library staff about it and just dropped them off in the drop box overnight filling it, so patrons with library books could not return their items.

While we do take donations for our annual Rose Fest book sale, we are not currently taking donations. Also, we do have a donation policy on items that we do accept, which can be found on our website. Most of these donated items are textbooks from the 70s and 80s. As you can imagine, we have no need for these. If you have very outdated materials, or materials in rough condition, such as these, it is best just to recycle them. Remove the covers first and recycle the pages. If the book is a hardcover, rip out the pages to recycle, then place the book boards (covers and spine) in the garbage.

I understand that the donor may have had good intentions. We just ask that if you do have donations, that you speak with library staff first so we can determine if we have a use for them. We will begin taking donations for the Rose Fest book sale again starting April 1, 2027. We are a SMALL library with limited space so we cannot take donations all year long. I do want to say that we are incredibly GRATEFUL for all the donations we receive from the public for the annual sale! We had a record year again this year and for that we thank you! But please, hold on to those donations until next April and if you do have donations, please reach out to us before donating.

Thank you for your time and understanding!
