We’re excited to announce that our Kents Store station is officially staffed as of 08:00 this morning!

This station will be staffed daily from 08:00 until 20:00, and will transition to 24 hour staffing in the near future. This addition will improve our coverage and our ability to provide timely care to the community of Kents Store.

We think it’s especially fitting that this milestone happens to fall first day of EMS Week, a week dedicated to recognizing EMS providers around the country.

There is a large, fast moving brush fire on Hells Bend Road. Please avoid the area.

All four Fluvanna Volunteer Fire Companies, Louisa Fire and EMS (Zions Crossroads), Scottsville VFD, Fluvanna EMS and Pegasus are on the scene of a house fire on Long Acre Road. There was a landing zone for Pegasus nearby and tankers will continue to shuttle water from a nearby water source. Please avoid the area.

A reminder that on Saturday and Sunday, fire departments from all over Central Virginia will be in Kents Store at 1107 Kents Store Way for a training exercise that will involve live fire on Sunday. Tankers will be shuttling water both days from Ferncliff.

On April 18 and 19, we are hosting the first annual Victor Breeden Memorial School of Firemanship at an acquired structure in the 1100 block of Kents Store Way. Please slow down in that area next weekend and don’t be distracted by us training.
