We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the Kent Police Department, K9 Vex, a 18-month-old German Shepherd who joined us on May 14th.

Vex came to us from Poland and is proudly partnered with Officer Smith. He received his training right here in-house at KPD as well as through Von der Haus Gill Kennels. Officer Smith and Vex became certified on August 6th.

Vex is dual-purpose certified through Ohio and NAPCH in:

• Narcotics Detection

• Tracking

• Patrol functions

Attention Renters! Housing professionals from Fair Housing Contact Service will be holding a Renter’s Rights workshop where tenants will be welcomed to learn about fair housing laws and their rights as tenants, or to bring any specific questions. Please RSVP below. We hope to see you there!
