High and very high fire danger levels for large portion of West Virginia today. Please refrain from all outdoor burning, even during legal burning hours, until danger lessens.

The red flag ban has been lifted but it is advised against burning.

It's that time of the year again, CHECK YOUR SMOKE DETECTORS. Early warning of a fire can give you valuable time to escape your home. A fire can generally double in size every 30 seconds and with new modern construction and materials it is faster then that. This is also a good time to practice your escape plan. In your plan have two ways out of your home. If you have questions please contact your local fire dept and always in case of emergencies 911. ~3
