I turned in the maximum allowable number of nomination signatures to the Kenosha County Clerk, over double the required 500.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers that helped me get back on the ballot. I appreciate you all so much. It was great getting out to every corner of the county touching base with my good friends and constituents.
The campaign is in full effect, you’ll definitely be seeing Team Sheriff Zoerner on the trail.
Stay safe and God Bless!

🚨💙 Safety Sunday — Social Media Safety for Kids 💙🚨

Social media can help kids stay connected with friends and family, but it can also expose them to serious risks if safety isn’t taken seriously.

As summer begins and more kids spend time online, now is a good time for parents and guardians to have open conversations about responsible social media use.

Here are a few important reminders for families:

📱 Know what apps your children are using
🔒 Make accounts private whenever possible
📍 Teach kids never to share their location publicly
👥 Remind them not everyone online is who they claim to be
📸 Think before posting photos or personal information
🚫 Encourage kids to report bullying, threats, or suspicious behavior immediately
⏰ Set healthy screen time limits and encourage offline activities

Parents should also establish clear family rules for social media and online activity. Setting expectations early can help children make smarter and safer decisions online.

Some good family rules may include:
✔️ No talking to strangers online
✔️ Parents know passwords and accounts
✔️ No phones or tablets late at night
✔️ Ask permission before downloading apps
✔️ Never share personal information or passwords
✔️ Be respectful online and report concerning behavior immediately

Parents should regularly review privacy settings, monitor online activity, and keep communication open with their children. A simple conversation today can help prevent serious problems tomorrow.

The internet can be a valuable tool ... but safety, awareness, and supervision still matter.

Was a beautiful morning at Jeffrey Elementary for their Touch a Truck event. Sheriff squads, KPD squads as well as a ton of fun heavy equipment from the City of Kenosha. Jensen’s Towing showed up with a heavy tow. The kids had a blast. They loved the goodies and the little badges. Thank you to Jeffrey Elementary for the kind invitation.

Honored to serve as Kenosha County Sheriff. God bless the fallen.

💙🖤 National Police Week 🖤💙

This week, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office proudly recognizes and honors the dedicated men and women who serve our community every single day.

From patrol deputies answering emergency calls in the middle of the night, to correctional professionals maintaining safety and order inside our facilities, to dispatchers, detectives, court security, civilian staff, and specialized units — every member of this office plays a critical role in protecting the people of Kenosha County.

Law enforcement is not just a job. It is a commitment to service, sacrifice, and standing ready when others need help the most. The men and women of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office work long hours, miss holidays with their families, respond to dangerous situations, and continue showing up each day with professionalism and dedication to this community.

During National Police Week, we also pause to remember and honor the officers across this country who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Sheriff David Zoerner stated:

“I am incredibly proud of the men and women of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office. Every day, they put service above self and work tirelessly to protect this community with courage, professionalism, and integrity. Whether it is responding to emergencies, supporting victims, maintaining safety in our correctional facilities, or building relationships within our neighborhoods, the members of this office continue to answer the call with dedication and honor. National Police Week is a time to recognize their sacrifices and thank them for the difficult work they do each and every day.”

Please join us in thanking the members of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and law enforcement professionals everywhere for their service to our communities. 🇺🇸🚔
