⛈️ Storm Debris Pickup Begins Monday, June 15 🌳

Residents with tree limbs, brush and other storm-related debris resulting from this week's severe thunderstorms are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department to arrange for curbside collection.

Residents seeking pickup should call 262-653-4050 to be placed on the collection list. Curbside pickup will occur between Monday, June 15, and Thursday, June 18.

When calling, residents should be prepared to provide information regarding the size and quantity of debris to assist crews in planning collection routes and equipment needs.

In addition to the special debris collection effort, city crews continue to work throughout Kenosha clearing fallen branches, removing debris and addressing other storm-related damage in public areas.

Thank you for your patience as crews work to restore our community following the storms!

⚠️ Storm Recovery Scam Alert ⚠️

If your home was impacted by last night's storms, please be on the lookout for scammers who often take advantage of disaster victims.

Individuals may claim they need to:
🔹 Inspect storm damage
🔹 Check your water or electrical service
🔹 Survey your property
🔹 Perform emergency repairs

Do not let anyone into your home unless you are 100% certain they are legitimate.

Government employees, utility workers, and emergency personnel will have official identification and will typically be driving clearly marked vehicles. If someone shows up unexpectedly and you are unsure who they are, ask for identification and verify their credentials before allowing them access to your home.

If someone pressures you to let them inside, asks for money, or something simply doesn't seem right, call 911 immediately. Our deputies will respond, investigate the situation, and ensure everyone involved is legitimate.

Don't let a storm make you the victim of another crime. Stay alert, protect your family, and don't hesitate to report suspicious activity.

If you see something suspicious, call 911 immediately. We'd rather investigate a legitimate concern than have someone become the victim of a scam or theft.
