Family Promise of Southern Chester County Creating a self-sustainable livelihood for children and families experiencing homelessness in SCC

When confronted with almost 500 children in Southern Chester County who have experienced homelessness (as documented by the Dept of Education, 2013-14), a concerned group of citizens was compelled to respond. After multiple meetings with community leaders, non-profit organizations, and clergy leaders/representatives, Family Promise, a national organization, was vetted to be the best model for our community to respond to this need. We began operations on Nov. 1, 2015 and have been actively serving families who are experiencing homelessness ever since.

The wait is officially OVER! The streets of Kennett Square are ready, and Day 1 of the Mushroom Festival is happening TODAY! 🙌🍄

Come hungry, bring your friends and family, and get ready for a full day of mushroom-filled fun, incredible food, 210+ vendors, live entertainment, chef demos, contests, family activities, and so much more!
