At the June Board Meeting, the Kennedale ISD Board of Trustees was proud to recognize Coach Shannon Johnson, Head Athletic Trainer at Kennedale High School, with a Certificate of Honor.🌟

Coach Johnson was honored for her quick thinking, keen observation, and commitment to student safety when she recognized that a student needed immediate medical attention. Thanks to her swift action and professional judgment, the student received timely care and was ultimately hospitalized for treatment. Medical professionals at Cook Children's later commended Coach Johnson’s instincts and quick response, reinforcing the critical role athletic trainers play in keeping students safe.

We're excited to share that the R.E.D. Bus from the Tarrant Area Food Bank will be visiting James A. Arthur Early Childhood Center on June 30th! The bus will be located in the parking lot by the cafeteria from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.🌟

During this time, staff will be available to provide on-site assistance with applying for helpful resources such as SNAP, CHIP, WIC, Medicaid, emergency food assistance, and more.
If you would like to apply, please be sure to bring the following:
• A valid photo ID
• Proof of income
• Proof of address
• A recent bill

The Scott & White Mobile Clinic will also be onsite providing immunizations.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Scott to the Wildcat family! 🐾

Mr. Scott is entering his 24th year in education and brings a wealth of experience to Kennedale Junior High, where he will serve as the principal. Throughout his career, he has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and most recently, as a Special Education Liaison at ESC Region 11.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University, and Lamar University, Mr. Scott is excited to join the Kennedale Junior High community and looks forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to help foster a positive and thriving school culture.

All new and returning Kennedale ISD students must complete registration before the start of the school year.

To help ensure a smooth start, families are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Students who are not registered before school begins may experience delays in starting school.

Kennedale ISD is excited to launch a brand-new opportunity for students in grades 6–12... The Wildcat Virtual Academy! 🌟💻🐾

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Wildcat Virtual Academy will provide a structured online learning option for students who thrive in an independent and flexible learning environment while remaining connected as full-time KISD students.

This program is designed for motivated students who can successfully manage virtual coursework, stay on pace with assignments, and meet program expectations. Space is limited, and acceptance will be determined through an application and interview process.

We are proud to continue expanding opportunities that meet the diverse needs of our Wildcat students and families! 💚
