π A special congratulations to Angela Hamilton and Christie Vick! They were recognized during the ceremony as the KISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year and will go on to represent KISD during the Region 11 Teacher of the Year Program.
Dr. Gee also recognized more than 30 staff members with Make a Difference Awards, honoring those who were consistently highlighted during campus visits for their impact and dedication.βοΈ
Brandy King, Director of HR, presented 8 Perfect Attendance Awards to staff members who maintained outstanding attendance throughout the year.π
We also honored 48 Wildcats for their years of service with KISD β celebrating milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and even 35 years! Together, these dedicated team members have contributed a combined total of 540 years of service. A special shout-out to Coach Richard Barrett who marked an incredible 35 years with the district!
Finally, we honored six retirees who together represent 120 years of dedication to education: Lisa Walsh, Mark McNutt, Chris Wilson, Manny Medina, Shelley Sherman, and Amy Johnson (not pictured). Thank you for your lasting impact on our students and schools. π
We are deeply grateful for every single person at KISD and all that they do to support our students each day.
Wishing all of our Wildcats a safe, restful, and well-deserved summer! βοΈ
