The first real estate tax installment is due today, September 10. The second installment is due March 10, 2027.

• In person: Town Hall, 6 Elm Street, until 5:00 PM today
• Drop box: Checks may be placed in the Town Hall drop box after 5:00 PM

Due to wet weather, the paving at Dock Square scheduled for today has been postponed to Friday, September 11th.

There will be no parking restrictions in Dock Square today, Thursday, September 10th.

Paving will resume Friday, with parking restrictions and traffic delays expected.

Route 9 Reconstruction Update 9/4/2026

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, MDOT will need to close all street parking spaces in Dock Square, including the spaces in front of Hurricane’s and Alisson’s, to allow the construction work to proceed.

For the following week, MDOT expects that parking closures may be more limited. They may concentrate their work in one area at a time and therefore may not need to close all parking spaces in both Kennebunk and Kennebunkport each day.

The construction schedule and parking impacts will continue to change as the project progresses. The Town will meet with MDOT each week for an updated schedule and will share additional information as it becomes available.

Short-Term Rental Update 09/03/2026

The short-term rental application portal will open on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and will be open until 4:00pm on December 31, 2026.

If you are renewing a license, you can log into your existing GovOS account starting October 1st and fill out the short-term rental renewal application. New users will be required to set up an account with GovOS to submit an application for a new license. Video tutorials are available on the Town website explaining the registration and application process.

Reminder: Permitting goes fully online October 1!

Don't forget that starting October 1, 2026, the Planning and Development Department will no longer accept paper permit applications. All permits must be submitted through GovWell, the Town's online permitting system.

Need help? Visit the Town website at www.kennebunkportme.gov and go to the Planning and Codes Department page for a GovWell tutorial, or stop by the Planning & Development office to use our kiosk or get assistance from staff.

Please note that, until further notice, all board and committee meetings will be held at the Kennebunkport Police Station (101 Main Street). This is necessary while we are replacing the outdated audio/visual system at the Village Fire Station.
