Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at the annual Town Meeting and congratulations to the Seacoast Garden Club, the recipients of the 2026 Spirit of America Award!

Since their founding in the 1980s they have consistently demonstrated commitment to public service in Kennebunkport and beyond through not only the beautification of public areas but also to environmental advocacy, and the tireless pursuit of public service, we are delighted to present them with the Spirit of America Award.

How could local transportation networks better serve our community?

🛣️ Where are sidewalks missing?
🚲️ What roads feel unsafe for cyclists and pedestrians?
🔗 What connections would make life easier?

Come imagine the future of transportation with us on June 15 and help create a more connected future for the Kennebunks.

The Towns of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, in partnership with MaineDOT, are developing a joint Active Transportation Plan focused on improving how people walk, bike, and move safely throughout our communities.

The study is examining key transportation corridors and connections between neighborhoods, schools, business districts, recreational areas, and regional destinations.

Residents, business owners, cyclists, pedestrians, and visitors are encouraged to attend an open-house public meeting to share concerns, identify challenges, and suggest improvements.

Whether you walk your dog, ride a bike, push a stroller, use a mobility device, or simply drive our roads every day, your perspective is important.

Don't forget to help us Stuff the Bus on voting day - June 9, 2026 at the Kennebunkport Village Fire Station at 32 North Street.

Our goal is to stock the Community Outreach Services Pantry shelves, so no residents go hungry. Non-perishable food items along with paper products and cleaning supplies are always welcome!

With the volunteers of the Kennebunkport Health Council, we will also have a donation jar present to accept cash or checks. Please make out your checks out to Community Outreach Services. These funds are used to purchase food from the Good Shepherd Food bank.

If you are an individual or family in need of food assistance, please reach out directly to Community Outreach Services to schedule a date and time that works for your family to “shop” at the food pantry. Go to COSkennebunks.org and click on the food link or call 207-985-3844 for more information.

Due to the rain predicted over the weekend of 5/29 through 5/30, a precautionary rainfall advisory has been posted for Goose Rocks Beach and Colony Beach - water contact is not advised, especially for immunocompromised individuals.

Moderate to heavy rainfall can increase bacteria levels at the beach. It is recommended to avoid water contact for at least 24 - 48 hrs after rainfall ceases.
