Just a reminder that we have an extra opportunity for you to Walk With A Naturalist this month, thanks to May Day Festival fun. Tomorrow, Saturday, 5/2, 10 am. Maybe head over to us a little earlier than you normally do when you put Barnard Lane in your GPS. Accessible trail, great for folks of all ages, 90 minute experience. Rain or shine. Meet at the trail head parking lot.

May Day Festival details as they pertain to Hope Woods and Hope Cemetery
10am at Hope Woods: Walk With A Naturalist
11am at Hope Cemetery: Story and nature craft for kids

At 10am, Maine master naturalist Gordon Collins, president of Friends of Hope Cemetery and Woods, will offer an educational stroll in the woods, as part of our continuing series, Walks With a Naturalist. Duration: 90 minutes on a wheelchair-friendly.accessible trail.

Separately, a nature-themed kids event kicks off at 11am, when author Jennifer Comeau will read from her book, "The Inside of ME" under the very beech tree that inspired the story. Also, kids will have a chance to decorate the Beech tree with May Day flowers and bird seeds.

Ribbon cutting ceremony alert! Please join us this Friday, May 1 at 10am, to help Hope Cemetery celebrate the opening of its newest burial area called "The Meadow." Plus, Hope Cemetery is now an accredited Level I Arboretum. Thank you Go Kennebunks: Kennebunk, Kennebunkport & Arundel Chamber for helping spread the word that Hope Cemetery is honored to provide the community with a beautiful, peaceful and serene setting for recreation, reflection and remembrance.
