Kennebunk Kennebunkport & Wells Water District Our 40 employees are dedicated to our mission, which is to provide the highest quality of water and These monthly meetings are open to the public.

The KK&W Water District is a quasi-municipal water utility that was established in 1921 by an act of the Maine State Legislature. Our service area, the second longest in Maine, extends 25 miles along the York County coastline and includes the Towns of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells, Ogunquit, Arundel and portions of Biddeford and York. Within these communities, we provide quality water service to

a population that varies seasonally from about 28,000 to over 75,000. The Water District is directed by a four-member Board of Trustees, each elected from the towns of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells and Ogunquit. The Trustees typically meet at 2:00 pm at the District office on the fourth Wednesday of the month during January to October and the third Wednesday during November and December.

Water Quality & Treatment Operations Manager

The Water Quality & Treatment Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, operation, and regulatory compliance of the District’s drinking water treatment facilities and water quality programs. This position ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient production of high-quality drinking water while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local drinking water regulations.

This position oversees treatment plant operations, water quality monitoring, regulatory reporting, laboratory coordination, and assigned personnel in a continuous 24/7/365 utility environment. The Manager provides hands-on operational leadership, technical oversight, and staff supervision while coordinating with internal departments to support system reliability, treatment optimization, and regulatory compliance.
