Last Saturday, firefighters Miguel Benavides and Shelby Zalesky represented the Ratcliff Volunteer Fire Department while volunteering at the Neches River Rendezvous at Boggy Slough. We were proud to support this great community event and help make it a success!

As temperatures rise and families head to the pool, lake, and river, water safety becomes more important than ever.

Did you know that certain swimsuit colors are easier to see underwater than others? Bright colors such as neon pink, neon orange, and bright yellow are much more visible in both pools and natural bodies of water, helping parents and caregivers keep an eye on children.

Stay safe and enjoy the water! ☀️🌊

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we also remember those who gave everything so we could enjoy the freedoms we have today.

From all of us at Ratcliff VFD, we thank and honor our fallen heroes and keep their families in our thoughts today.
