New York State Police Wall of Honor - Today we Remember Trooper John G. George

Trooper John G. George died on March 1, 1970 of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Trooper George and his partner were parked along Route 5 near the village of Herkimer to complete daily reports. Trooper George was 36 years old at the time of his death.

Trooper George joined the State Police on June 18, 1962 and spent the majority of his career at the East Herkimer Station. He was active in the civic and community affairs in Little Falls.
