While Chief Rispa was out on patrol this afternoon
an out of state driver was stopped for the following violation.

What: Traffic Violation of 73 MPH in a 45 MPH zone
Where: US HWY 52 Mile Marker 43
When: AUGUST 11TH 2026 @ 2:00 P.M.
Who: Out of state Driver
Excuse: “I was not paying attention”

It will continue to be one the Kenmare Police Departments top priority to work traffic enforcement to ensure safety for other individuals traveling the roadways!

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE

The Minot Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Drake Jasinski and Chelsea Boucher.

Both individuals have active warrants related to a child endangerment investigation. The children involved are not currently or presently in danger.

Anyone with information that may assist officers in locating either individual is asked to contact Minot Central Dispatch at 701-857-1500 or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411 by texting MINOTPD to 847411, followed by a space and the information.

Please do not attempt to contact or approach either individual. If you have information regarding their whereabouts, please contact law enforcement.

E. Division St. is now open!

Thank you to the Kenmare Public Works department and implied mechanics for assisting in this matter!

E. Division St. at the intersection next to Saint Agnes Catholic Church is currently closed.

Please plan accordingly to reroute travel east and west on E. Division St.

We will update you on. The roadway is open again.

There are no injuries related to this incident.

A motorist vehicle was not completely engaged into park and rolled down the grassy hill next to the Catholic Church.

The motorist was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Who: Out of state Driver
Excuse: “I thought I slowed down”

It will continue to be one the Kenmare Police Departments top priority to work traffic enforcement to ensure safety for other individuals traveling the roadways!

🚨🚨SCAM ALERT🚨🚨

 on July 15TH 2026 at approximately 9:35 AM the Kenmare Police Department was notified of a scam phone call placed to a Kenmare resident.

The scam caller falsely stated the Kenmare residence electronic banking cards had been hacked. 

The scam caller attempted to gain access to personal identifying information as well as banking information from the Kenmare resident.

Thankfully, the Kenmare resident was one step ahead and recognized the signs of a scam attempt, and no information was shared as well as a phone call was placed to the Kenmare Police Department immediately!

Please continue to be vigilant of scam attempts as we see more and more scam attempts with today’s technology advancing!

On July 15TH 2026 the Ward County States Attorneys Office/Kenmare Police Department charged Rocky Landers age 33 of Kenmare with an additional charge of

BURGLARY (CLASS C FELONY)

Landers was served the second charge of Burglary while in custody at the Ward County Correctional Center

Today, while engaging with the amazing community members of Kenmare, Chief Rispa and Officer Brien were able to hand out safety coupons to these two young but responsible individuals!

With these coupons, they will be able to enjoy some ice cream at the White Buffalo Soda Fountain in Kenmare.
