🏈🌶️ FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL + TAILGATE FOOD = A WINNING COMBINATION! 🌭💛

Come hungry and get ready to cheer on the Honkers on Friday night! Before kickoff, stop by our Pre-Game Tailgate beginning at 6:00 PM! 🏈

On the menu: chili, hot dogs & sides! 🌶️🌭

The meal is FREE-WILL, with proceeds supporting the FBLA Chapter and Activities Fund, so grab some supper before the game while supporting our students! 💛

A HUGE thank you to Town & Country Credit Union of Kenmare for sponsoring the tailgate meal! We appreciate your support of our students and activities! 👏

🍂🧥 Brrr… Those Cool Mornings Are Here! 🧤🍁

A quick reminder for our KPS Elementary families as our North Dakota mornings start getting a little chillier! 🥶

Our students still head outside for recess, so please make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather each day. A warm jacket or sweatshirt can make a BIG difference when they’re outside playing! 🧥🍂

👟 And don’t forget the shoes! Elementary students should have a separate pair of shoes strictly for outdoor use. This helps us keep the mud, grass, and everything else those busy little feet find outside from making its way through our classrooms and hallways. 😉👟

As the weather continues to cool, please keep an eye on the forecast and send hats, gloves, and warmer layers when needed. 🧤🧢

Thank you for helping us keep our kiddos warm, comfortable, and ready to enjoy recess! 💛

Just a quick reminder to our Kenmare Public School families that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16, is an Early Release Day!

🏫 Elementary: Dismisses at 1:15 PM
🎓 High School: Dismisses at 1:30 PM

Please be sure to make any necessary arrangements for your students to head home a little earlier than usual. 🚌🏠

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ CALLING ALL RUNNING ENTHUSIASTS! 👟💛

The Kenmare Country Club XC Invite is coming up on Tuesday, September 22, and we’re looking for a few awesome volunteers to help us keep things running smoothly! 😉🪿

The high school races begin at 11:00 AM and will wrap up by approximately 1:30 PM. We could use a few extra hands throughout the event to help make it a great experience for all of our runners! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

If you enjoy cross country, being outdoors, or simply want to spend the day supporting some fantastic student-athletes, we’d love to have you on our team! 💛

💛 HONKER FANS, GET READY FOR ANOTHER BIG WEEK! 💛

The Kenmare-Bowbells Honkers have a full slate of action coming our way the week of September 14! From the golf course to the cross country trail, volleyball court, and football field, there’s plenty of MAROON & GOLD to cheer for! ⛳👟🏐🏈

⛳ Girls Golf has a HUGE week ahead with the Honker Invite and then the Region Tournament in Ray on Thursday! Let’s go, ladies! 🏆

👟 Cross Country hits the trail Monday at the Laker Invite, while our volleyball teams have matches throughout the week, including home action against Tioga on Tuesday! 🏐🔥

🏈 And you know what Friday means... FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! The Honkers are HOME against Dunseith at 7:00 PM! Grab your maroon & gold and come fill the stands! 📣

🏐 We’ll wrap up the week Saturday with JV Volleyball at the South Prairie Tournament!

📅 One important schedule note: The Honker Girls Golf Invite has been moved from Monday to Tuesday, September 15 due to the forecast. ⛳🌧️➡️☀️

📚 WHAT’S HAPPENING AT KPS THIS WEEK?! 💛

Get those calendars ready because the week of September 14 is packed with plenty of learning, activities, Honker competition, and a few important reminders! 🗓️✨

We’re kicking things off Monday with Cross Country at the Laker Invite, vision screenings, the 6th grade immunization clinic, and JH Volleyball. Then Tuesday is a BIG day! 💚 Students are encouraged to wear GREEN for National Tackle Kids Cancer Day and bring loose change to help support a student at Westhope Public School who is currently fighting cancer. Our Girls Golf team hosts the Honker Invite, and Volleyball takes on Tioga! ⛳🏐

⏰ Wednesday = EARLY OUT! Elementary dismisses at 1:15 PM and High School at 1:30 PM. The School Board Meeting will be held that evening at 7:00 PM.

Thursday brings a BIG day on the golf course as our Girls Golf team competes at the Region Tournament in Ray! 🏆⛳ Volleyball is also on the road at Powers Lake.

🏈 Then it’s FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS in Honker Country! The Honkers host Dunseith at 7:00 PM! And we’re not finished yet, because JV Volleyball heads to the South Prairie Tournament on Saturday. 🔥🏐

Whew! 😅 That’s one busy week!

🎉📅 SOMETHING NEW IS COMING TO KPS! 📅🎉

Our KPS Elementary Teachers are adding a little extra FUN to the school year with our new National Day Calendar! 🥳

Each month, we’ll choose a few National Calendar Days to celebrate together. Some might mean dressing up, some might involve a special treat 🍦, and others will give our students an opportunity to give back and show kindness to others. ❤️

We’re kicking things off in September with four fun days:

🧸 September 9 | National Teddy Bear Day
Students can bring a NEW teddy bear to donate to our Teddy Bear Drive!

💚 September 15 | National Tackle Kids Cancer Day
Wear a GREEN SHIRT to show support for a student at Westhope Public School who is currently fighting cancer. Students may also bring loose change to donate to his family. 💚

🍦 September 22 | National Ice Cream Cone Day
Get ready for a SWEET treat! 😋

🧡 September 30 | National Orange Shirt Day
Wear your ORANGE! 🧡

📌 Parents, keep an eye out! A new calendar will be shared each month on our page and sent home in your child’s folder.

We’re excited to add a little fun to our school days while also creating opportunities for our students to learn about kindness, generosity, and supporting others. 🥰

Mother Nature has decided to play through this round, so we’re making a little adjustment to the Honker Invite! 🌧️➡️☀️

Due to the forecast for Monday, the Honker Invite originally scheduled for Monday, September 14 has been RESCHEDULED to Tuesday, September 15! 💛
