Kenmare Heritage Center

Kenmare Heritage Center The Center was opened 2010 as a location for afternoon socials, vow renewals, bridal showers, meetings and events. It has an organ and piano for music.

The Kenmare Methodist Church Heritage Center is in the building that was first opened during the winter of 1902 for church services by the Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church. It served as the Methodist Church with a variety of names for over a century. It's final name was the Kenmare United Methodist Church. In need of repair, in 2010 the church building became the Kenmare Methodist Church Heritage Center under private ownership. Since taking ownership the proprietor has been working to restore the church with her own funds and donations. The Heritage Center is used today for community and private events and is available for rent as a location for afternoon socials, bridal showers, wedding vow renewals, funerals, family reunions or any event one would like to host in a historical church building. The Heritage Center still has its original fixtures and beautiful stain glass windows. There is a large selection of tea cup and luncheon plates for that special social event. If you would like to tour the oldest church building in Kenmare, and one of the oldest buildings in town, call for a tour. If you would like to host an event or have us host your event, call! Check our event calendar for upcoming events. Donations to assist with the restoration of the building are always greatly appreciated.
