🚗 VEHICLE REMINDER – VILLAGE OF KENESAW

We would like to clarify our recent reminder regarding vehicles within the Village of Kenesaw.

đźš™ VEHICLES PARKED ON PUBLIC STREETS

Under Village Code § 5-405 – Maximum Time Limit, a motor vehicle may not be parked on a public street for more than 24 consecutive hours, unless a different maximum time limit is posted.

This includes inoperable vehicles parked on Village streets.

🏠 VEHICLES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY

Under Village Code § 6-209 – Abandoned Automobiles, unlicensed, inoperable, wrecked, junked, or partially dismantled vehicles may not remain on private property for longer than 30 days total in any 365-day period, unless one of the exceptions in the ordinance applies.

The ordinance also states that a motor vehicle or trailer that has been unregistered for more than 30 days may not remain on the property for any period of time, subject to the exceptions provided in the ordinance.

The Village is simply asking residents to take a look at the vehicles on their property and on the street. If you have a vehicle that is unregistered, unlicensed, or inoperable, please take the necessary steps to get it registered, licensed and operable, or make arrangements for proper storage or removal.

Our goal is to work with our residents and keep Kenesaw safe, clean, and well maintained. We appreciate everyone taking the time to address vehicles that may need attention.

Thank you for your cooperation!
