We would like to inform our community that, due to a scheduled software upgrade, our office and online payment services will be temporarily unable to accept credit or debit card payments from April 24 through May 4, 2026.

To avoid any inconvenience, we kindly encourage customers to plan ahead and use alternative forms of payment, such as cash or check, when visiting our office.

‼️Government Operations & Schedule Update‼️

Duplin County Government offices and services will resume normal operations tomorrow, February 4, 2025.

The County Transportation office will be open for scheduling and administrative needs, however transportation services will be grounded due to snow accumulations and potential pickup concerns.

The Consolidated Health & Human Services Board will meet tomorrow at 5:30 PM, followed by the Board of County Commissioners meeting at 6:00 PM. Both meetings will be held in the County Administration Building.

Thank you for your patience as conditions continue to improve.

Las oficinas y servicios del Gobierno del Condado de Duplin reanudarán sus operaciones normales mañana, 4 de febrero de 2025.

🚨 State of Emergency Update – Curfew Rescinded 🚨

The Duplin County State of Emergency has been amended to rescind the countywide curfew, effective immediately.

All other provisions of the State of Emergency remain in effect at this time.

A copy of the official amendment is attached for reference. We appreciate everyone’s continued cooperation and patience as recovery efforts continue across the county.

Please continue to use caution while traveling, especially on secondary roadways, and monitor official Duplin County channels for additional updates.

Due to inclement winter weather, any Duplin County Government department that was scheduled to be open on Saturday, January 31, 2026 will be closed.

This includes:
• Solid Waste Collection Sites
• The Cowan Museum
• All County Libraries
• The Animal Shelter
• The Duplin County Airport
• The Cabin Lake County Park
