The Kenansville Police Department would like to recognize our own SRO, William Holland at Kenansville Elementary School. Thank you, Officer Holland, for your service and dedication to the safety of the students and staff each and every day.
We would like to Thank All School Resource Officers that serve in Duplin County as well as across the United States. It is not an easy task you perform each day. Once again, we appreciate each of you for the job you do!

🚨 State of Emergency – Winter Weather Advisory 🚨
The Town of Kenansville has declared a State of Emergency due to the upcoming winter weather.
🕯 Effective: From sunset on Saturday, January 31st
⏰ Duration: In effect each night between sunset and sunrise until further notice or rescinded
Residents are urged to take this declaration seriously and limit travel during the effective hours unless absolutely necessary.
Please remember to stay safe during this extreme cold:
• Avoid unnecessary travel and remain indoors when possible
• Dress in warm layers and protect exposed skin
• Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those in need
• Bring pets indoors and ensure adequate shelter
• Use space heaters safely and never leave them unattended
The Kenansville Police Department will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. Your safety is our top priority.
