🚧 PARK CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

Please note that the Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park will be temporarily closed until 10:00 am on Friday, July 31, 2026, while an Eagle Scout project is underway to install new bat boxes.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this project is completed. A special thank you to our Eagle Scout for choosing to give back to our community through this valuable conservation effort. We are grateful for your hard work, dedication, and service to the City of Kempner!

The park will reopen at 10:00 am.

We're excited that the date has been set for our Annual School Supply Drive! 📚✏️🎒

We're committed to helping our LISD students start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

🚧 Street Maintenance Today 🚧

Street maintenance on Pecan Street and Pedernales Street will take place today. Please use caution and expect minor delays while crews are working.

This project is funded through the voter approved special sales tax dedicated to maintaining and improving Kempners streets.

The City of Kempner would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended our Memorial Day Service at Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park.

Our community came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Your presence helped make this tribute meaningful and reminded us all of the importance of remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We extend our gratitude to all participants, volunteers, speakers, veterans, and community members who helped make today’s ceremony possible.

May we continue to honor our fallen heroes not only on Memorial Day, but every day through gratitude, service, and remembrance.
