The City of Kemmerer, partnering with J Solutions, has returned the large vegetation waste bin at the top of Emerald Street. The vegetation waste bin is free to the public.
The following rules apply to the use of the waste bin:
1. ITEMS ALLOWED: Tree trimmings, shrubs, grass clippings, plants, weeds, leaves, etc.
2. Grass clippings MUST BE unbagged. There is a city residential can at the site that you can put your emptied bags in.
3. ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: Household trash, metal, construction debris, fence slats, treated lumber, tires, paint, etc.
The vegetation waste bin worked well last summer. Please note that if the rules are not followed and the bin is abused, the city will be forced to remove the bin from the location.
The city hopes that the vegetation waste bin will be an added asset to the community and will help residents dispose of their vegetation waste properly.
