Kemah FIre Department is on location of a natural gas leak on 6th Street @ Bradford.

Center Point Energy is on location with Dig Crews en route to make repairs.

Traffic will be shut down on Bradford Ave between 6th and 7th street.

No evacuations have been ordered by Centerpoint at this time and air monitoring is being actively conducted.

The Kemah Fire Department is on the location of a natural gas leak in the 1400 block of Bayshore. CenterPoint units have arrived, and crews are working to control the leak. The scene remains active; please avoid the area until the incident is mitigated.

Air monitoring is ongoing. As of 09:37 AM, no homes have been evacuated, and access to residences remains unaffected by the incident.

Avoid the area and expect delays due to this incident, as well as ongoing traffic congestion caused by a previous motor vehicle accident on Highway 146 @ FM 646.

From Houston/Galveston National Weather Service (NWS): ‘’The freeze line continues to shift southeastward through the morning,’’ moving closer to the coastline.

8:20 AM Sunday: Just because precipitation has stopped falling from the sky does NOT mean that the threat for icy roads has ended in the Houston metro! Here's a zoomed in look at the current position of the freezing line across the Houston metro, which will sag southeastward more through the morning. Temperatures have dropped into the 20s across western Harris County, which will cause concerns for remaining water on roadways to freeze, especially bridges and overpasses.
