A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR MCMULLIN
Since bringing fireworks to Keller when we were first elected in 2020, we've watched Keller Lights grow into one of our community's favorite traditions.
Whether it’s Keller Lights, Keller Summer Nights, the Arts festival, Flannel Fest, or any of the other celebrations we do, we absolutely love seeing Keller coming together to celebrate as a community. This will be especially true on America’s 250th birthday — and we need your help.
As part of the lead-up to the semiquincentennial, we are launching the Keller 250 Business Initiative.
The ask is simple: we want every Keller business with a storefront to display the American flag, show us your brand’s patriotic merch, or display a Keller Lights poster somewhere in your store. Simply put, we want red, white, and blue not only in every neighborhood, but everywhere on our main thoroughfares.
If you want to participate in the program, visit the Keller 250 Business link in the comments.
Additionally, we are starting a new partnership with the Rotary Club of Keller to support families in need in our community. At the Keller Lights event, you will see signs with QR codes that you can scan to make a tax-deductible donation to the Keller Rotary Club. Through this partnership, 100% of the funds donated during Keller Lights will support an amazing Keller resident: Nina Alvarez.
As you are likely already aware, Nina was involved in a tragic accident but has been working on her very own comeback story. And we couldn’t be more excited about an opportunity to support Nina in her efforts.
These are just two of the ways we are taking Keller Lights to the next level. Of course, the fireworks and music will be better than ever. And thanks to our amazing staff, we have a number of surprises up our sleeve we know you’ll enjoy.
While we're planning an unforgettable Keller Lights celebration, in less than a month on the job, we're also focusing on delivering new levels of excellence across city government.
If you ever need anything from my office, it’s always an open-door policy. Email us anytime — especially if you have ideas for taking Keller to the next level.
It’s an honor to serve Texas’s most family-friendly city!
