Community Safety Takes a Community!

Did you know some of the programs Keizer Fire District and Keizer Police Department provide to our community are made possible with support from the Keizer Public Safety Foundation (KPSF)?
Thanks to KPSF funding, we’re able to provide important safety resources such as:

🦺 Life Jackets at Keizer Rapids Park to help families enjoy the water more safely
🔥 Smoke Alarm Program to help ensure homes have working smoke alarms
🚗 Car Seat Clinics to help parents and caregivers make sure children are riding safely

These programs make a real difference for families in Keizer, and the support of the Keizer Public Safety Foundation helps us continue providing them.

Application Period: August 5th to August 31st, 2026

Paramedic students currently enrolled in a Paramedic program are eligible to apply and test.

During the month of July, Keizer Fire District responded to 780 calls for service. From medical emergencies and fires to public assistance and everything in between, our crews were ready to respond when our community needed us.

🔥 National Night Out Update

Due to the extreme heat and poor air quality, Keizer Fire District will not be participating in National Night Out activities this evening.

While we’re disappointed to miss the opportunity to spend time with our community, the health and safety of everyone involved comes first.

Please take care of yourself and your neighbors:
💧 Drink plenty of water
🏠 Stay cool and indoors when possible
🌫️ Avoid prolonged time outdoors until air quality improves

The Keizer Police Department is disappointed to report that due to worsening air quality and extreme heat, we will not be participating in tonight’s National Night Out event.
