Our next general meeting will be Wednesday, October 2nd at the Branch Library, 7 pm.

We hope to see everyone then. Thank you for your continued support and help. If you haven’t already paid your dues, please bring to the meeting. Dues renewals are going out shorty.

Jennifer will be returning for a guest appearance as a moderator of the book club for October. We’ll be reading Ina Garten’s (The Barefoot Contessa) October 1st release memoir, Be Ready When Luck Happens. Our discussion will include a pot luck gathering of Ina’s recipes/dishes to be shared.

REVEALED: the new portrait of our Kearny (Carnegie) Library by artist Mick Wiggins! Made possible by the Friends of The Kearny Library! A massive 62”L by 48” W, it will hang in the central corridor of the Main Kearny Library.

Just a 3rd of the new books ordered by the Friends of the Kearny Library for when the Library will be able to reopen (We do not have a date for this yet). While we could not hold our Annual Kickoff to Summer Reading for Children this year, we still purchased our usual big haul of new books! These are all hardcover titles that the Library doesn’t have in their inventory. Sometimes they are new releases and sometimes we are replacing copies that have just worn out. We also purchased new dress up items with books for the very popular Branch Library Toddler Room!

We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and 100% of your donations go to buying new items for our Kearny Libraries. Be safe and well and thank you for your support!
