Lighthouse Home Care, LLC Non-medical home care provider offering personalized support services for seniors to maintain independence and quality of life. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.

We’re Brad and Maddie Diekmann, the proud owners of Lighthouse Home Care. Our journey into home care began with a deep-rooted passion for helping others especially seniors and those needing extra support. With a background in the caregiving industry, we’ve seen firsthand the difference compassionate care can make in someone's life. While Brad is a St. Louis native, I grew up in Kearney, Missouri. Our family owned and operated an assisted and independent living community for 30 years. I had the unique experience of growing up in a nursing home. My siblings and I spent our days under the care of 80+ grandparents and occasionally sneaking cookies from the kitchen. We learned early the importance of hard work and respect. Today, we bring that same dedication, warmth, and expertise to every home we serve. We’re committed to building a business that reflects our values trust, respect, and kindness. Our goal is to provide the highest quality care to every client, treating them like family. We believe in supporting not only our clients but also our dedicated team of caregivers, ensuring they have the resources and training they need to deliver exceptional care. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your caregiving journey. We look forward to serving you!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month -- a time to honor those affected by breast cancer, celebrate survivors, rememeber those we have lost, and shine a light on the importance of early detection.

At Lighthouse Home Care, we believe no one should have to navigate a difficult journey alone. May this month remind us to support one another, encourage regular screenings, and offer kindness and compassion to those facing breast cancer.

Together we can be a light of hope, strength and love.

💙 Meet Kelly-Lynn!
Since joining Lighthouse in April, Kelly-Lynn has quickly become a favorite with our clients and their families. Her calm, kind demeanor and genuine thoughtfulness shine through in the care she gives to each person.
What we love most is how naturally she gets to know the people she cares for and finds the little things that can make their day better. That kind of care matters. 💙
And when she’s not caring for others, you can find Kelly-Lynn in the kitchen working on her other passion, baking sweet treats Bingham's baked goods 🧁
We’re so grateful to have you on our team, Kelly-Lynn! Thank you for bringing so much kindness to Lighthouse. 💙 If you are looking for a sweet treat, visit Bingham's baked

**Caregivers, you do not have to do this alone.**

We wanted to share this local resource from Sandwiched KC for anyone caring for a parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, or someone they consider family.

Their virtual caregiver support group meets weekly and is a place to connect with others who understand the ups, downs, questions, and challenges that come with caregiving.

Sometimes it helps just to know you are not the only one figuring it out.

Turns out training can actually be fun.

We had a great evening together last week sharing stories, swapping tips, learning from each other, and finally putting some faces to the names of caregivers who also care for the same clients.

There was plenty of laughing, some really good conversation, and enough dessert to make everyone pretty happy.

We missed a few who had to head out before the photo, but we are so glad so many of our Lighthouse crew could be there.

Good people, good conversations, great day!

**Labor Day isn’t just for the people clocking in tomorrow. 😉**

It’s also a pretty great day to celebrate the people who have already put in their years.
To our retired community:
You worked. You built. You contributed. You raised families. You made a difference.
And now? You get to enjoy a little more time on your own schedule.
So this Labor Day, we’re celebrating you and all the work that got you here.
You’ve earned the title of RETIRED. 🎉
And when you need a little helping hand along the way…
let us do the caring. ❤️
Happy Labor Day!
