Project PAUL

Assisting the

Poor, Alienated, Unemployed and Lonely

For the last thirty years, Project PAUL has successfully been achieving the goal of its original mission statement: “For the express purpose of helping those in need”. Ann’s Church in Keansburg, NJ, Project PAUL is now a non-profit organization committed to providing food, clothing and financial assistance to qualified indivi

duals in the Bayshore area of Monmouth County, including Keansburg, Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Fair Haven, Hazlet, Highlands, Holmdel, Keyport, Little Silver, Matawan, Middletown, Monmouth Beach, Rumson, Sea Bright, Shrewsbury and Union Beach. Through the generosity of our donors, the proceeds from our Thrift and Furniture Stores, and government grants, we have been able to provide close to 60,000 individuals with essential services since the beginning of this year. Food Pantry
Our food pantry operation has become the largest independent food pantry in Monmouth County with distribution to over 1700 individuals per week. Thrift Shop
Our thrift shop which is open six days a week and staffed by volunteers has provided clothing, household items and other necessities to approximately 600 qualifying families in 2010. Further, proceeds from all sales in both our Thrift and Furniture stores support our programs. Homelessness Prevention
Project PAUL also helps hundreds of families stay in their homes by providing assistance with rent and utilities. In 2015, our homelessness prevention services prevented utilities shut off and rent evictions for more than 1020 families during the year. Educational Assistance
Project PAUL also offers educational assistance including supplemental funds for single mother’s pursuing higher education, and resources to develop marketable workplace skills, build self-confidence, and nurture self-esteem. We currently have 23 single mothers participating in this program. English as a Second Language
Most recently, Project PAUL has instituted a free ESL class for mothers in the community. Holiday Food Drives
During the holiday season, Project PAUL coordinates Thanksgiving food and Christmas gift donations.
