Lately our go to hike has been Kuilau Ridge as I work back from an injury. ( looking forward to Nounou, hale elio trail soon. Anyway, my wife and I spotted this light on the side of the left hand ridge at blue hole. Posted it on Facebook thread and people say that it shows every so often likely a pool of water that collects on a ridge line and when the sun hits it just perfect it shines. Gosh, I love finding new weirdness. Pohaku alohliohi I ka.

We’ve had a little wind storms here and again. Just so you know this is not my house if I had Albizia anywhere near my house. they would automatically get cut down. They are junk trees introduced to Hawaii in the mid 1800s and they basically taken over the joint. It’s a good rule of thumb that if it’s windy, do not go for a hike in the woods under Albizia. trees . I am too lazy to look it up and correct the supposed AI on my new iPhone. Just a heads up if you’re going to visit Kauai by the way, it’s been raining the last week.
